Step 1 : In order to install applications from unknown sources on your android you need allow the installation of applications from unknown sources. To do this, go to Settings > Security and tap on the “Unknown sources”. Check “OK” to confirm the changes.

Step 2 : Now you have to  Download Adblock Plus apk.

Step 3 : Install the Adblock Plus on your android and Open it.

In Rooted Devices : Run Ad Block Plus , it will ask for Super User Permissions. Allow this app Super User permissions and you are done.

In Non Rooted Devices : If your phone is not rooted , still you can take use of this app but you need to follow a few more steps. You can see the step by step procedure Here because configuration is different in different versions of Android.

You can do some additional setting like ads filter lists, non-intrusive ads, etc in Settings/advance settings.

2. Using Hosts file

This method is old but still working I’m also using this. This method is also used in windows to block ads. This method is also simple.

Step 1: First of all Download Hosts file and change the file name to hosts.

 

Step 2: Now the next step is to move the hosts file in your android system. For this go to System > etc and paste hosts file here which have downloaded from above.

Note : You may require super user permissions for accessing this location and also don’t forgot to take the backup of your hosts file.

Step 3: Now the important part is to rename the hosts file to hosts.bak because there is another hosts file available in your phone.Step 4: Now you are almost done you need to just Reboot  your mobile.Now Enjoy !!  and get rid of annoying Ads.

1 ) Avoid public WiFi when possible

I’m not saying that public WiFi is a big security threat, it’s not. But when I want to do any online banking, I always do so from my own personal WiFi at home. Or my smartphone’s data plan. I never do online banking on a public WiFi network, where many other strangers can easily connect to it as well. I’m not educated in the field of cyber security, but when you want to send sensitive information online, like your online banking account password to your bank’s servers, it just makes sense to do so from a network you trust (like your home network) rather than a public network that hundreds of people (including data phishers) have access to, doesn’t it?

2 ) Activate Android Device Manager

In addition to the malware scanner mentioned earlier, Google also pushed the Android Device Manager, again via Google Play Services to all Android devices. ADM is a service that aims to help users who have lost their device. It will allow users to locate their device, lock it, or wipe it clean regardless of where it is. Activating ADM on your device is extremely easy. All you need to do is go into the Google Settings app (not to be confused with your device’s Settings app), go to “Android Device Manager” and enable both options that are displayed. This will allow you to remotely locate your device, lock it, erase it, and even make it ring on full volume. To access ADM from the web, go to . From there you will be able to use all the features you just activated on your device. You can also access ADM from the Play Store on the web. On the Play Store home page, click the settings button (the gear) located in the top right corner of the page (beneath your user bar) and select Android Device Manager. With this service fully enabled, hopefully you will be able to soften the blow if you unfortunately lose your device.

3 ) Disable app downloads from unknown sources

The easiest way to get infected with malware on an Android phone or tablet is to start installing apps from outside the official Google Play app store. In the Settings menu of any standard Android device is a check box that enables and disables installing ‘unofficial’ apps. An Android that keeps itself legit is far safer.

4 ) Download an anti-malware app

Now that Android malware and viruses are a widely-recognised part of the smartphone world, there are many solutions to combat them. Most of the big antivirus (AV) companies have their own Android anti-malware apps, including Kaspersky, AVG, Avast and Norton. Recommended free Android AV apps include Lookout (where there is also a premium version available) and TrustGo.

5 ) Keep all sensitive data behind an extra encryption layer

Hi guys seems like me posting after a year. Even a week's gap made me so anxious, well sorry again readers but today I am here with a really cool thing and I am sure you really going to love it.

There is a very cool app named TWRL on Facebook which allows users to like photos and they get notified  if someone likes there picture back so that's like playing safe. Users of whom you are liking the pictures of will never know until they like you back.
